Overview

Dashizo is a Fusion Fuse that turns any polyline into a dashed path with controllable dash shapes, gaps, line caps, and colors. Connect line points to other moving objects in your comp to drive animated dashed strokes that follow tracked elements, text, or nodes. Choose from built-in path generators like line, rectangle, circle, polygon, and rounded rectangle, or connect your own custom path. Dash shapes include stroke, diamond, triangle, square, circle, star, and even text characters, all with bezier flattening for smooth curves.

Installation

  1. Download the .lua installer file.
  2. Drag it directly into the Fusion nodes area.
  3. Review the EULA printed in the console.
  4. Restart DaVinci Resolve.

Dashizo v1.1 improves circle path rendering and adds a new circle-shape adjustment control.

Dashizo circles now render cleanly as true circles by default, with a new Circle Shape slider for quick manual correction or creative oval-style adjustments.

What's New in 1.1

  • Fixed circle paths appearing egg-shaped on widescreen/non-square compositions.
  • Added a new Circle Shape control for Circle presets, letting users fine-tune the circle path width.
  • Circle Shape defaults to 1.0 for a true circle; lower values make it narrower, higher values make it wider.
  • Added a Corner Radius control for the Rectangle preset, making it easier to create rounded rectangle dash paths directly inside Dashizo.
  • Rebuilt the protected installer/package files for this release.
